Coons Rapids Police Department’s Crime Prevention web site
The Coons Rapids Police Department has developed a web site promoting public education and crime prevention. The author of the web site, Lauri Ebel is a fifteen year veteran in Law Enforcement, Corrections and Social Service areas and is dually licensed as a Social Worker and (non-active status) Peace Officer. There are several informational links such as a babysitter’s guide , neighborhood watch programs , and newsletter articles and booklets.
Included on this site is a certification program for rental property managers. The Crime Free Multi-Housing (CFMH) certification partners rental property managers and local law enforcement agency to help keep drugs and illegal activity out of their rental property. This three part approach certification is a resident friendly program showing techniques in how to maintain crime prevention goals. The CFMH certification cannot guarantee a crime free property but it gives rental property management the ability to go beyond the norm to prevent crime.
Even though this is a small web site, it does have excellent information, articles and tips on how to prevent crime in a small town.
