A recent article on the Remer Area Chamber of Commerce web site asked what the Minnesota State Legislator is doing to introduce legislation on Jessica’s Law for the state of Minnesota. The author could not find any legislation introduced that would put Minnesota as a proponent for Jessica’s law. The state does have Megan’s law but that is not enough to control child predators in the state.

The Coons Rapids Police Department has developed a web site promoting public education and crime prevention. The author of the web site, Lauri Ebel is a fifteen year veteran in Law Enforcement, Corrections and Social Service areas and is dually licensed as a Social Worker and (non-active status) Peace Officer. There are several informational links such as a babysitter’s guide , neighborhood watch programs , and newsletter articles and booklets.
